The Ghanshyam Binani Foundation institutes an annual national bravery award for children below 16 years of age. This award was introduced in the memory of Late Ghanshyam Binani who loved children unconditionally. The Award consists of a thematically designed silver medal which is embedded with the symbol of a pyramid and a crystal. The pyramid and the crystal are considered the epitome of energy. In fact, they absorb and emit energy and this medal acknowledges that force within. The awardees also get a citation and a cash reward of Rs. 51,000/ each. The silver medal has a neckband of three bold colours – orange, blue and green – representing fire, water and earth. A male and a female child is awarded every year. Sometimes depending on extraordinary brave act we also honour a deserving candidate a special award of Rs. 25,000
