National Award for Prevention of Pollution for the year 2008-2009 under the Zinc Smelting category has been conferred to Binani Zinc Ltd. in recognition of its commendable efforts towards conserving Energy and water, reduction in waste generation and protection of Environment through innovative practices and Environment friendly technologies.

Kerala State Pollution Control Board has awarded Binani Zinc an Excellence award for its outstanding Environmental performance in the category of Very Large Industries for the year 2010 for  the third consecutive year. Excellence Award is conferred to organizations which goes beyond the legal compliance and align with voluntary initiatives in Environmental as well as in Social responsibilities.
